Welcome to the Interfraternity Council’s Winter 2023 Recruitment!
Winter 2023 Rush Registration: Link
You will need to Venmo @UCLA-IFC $40 to complete the registration process (payment will be cross-referenced).
If you have any questions with the recruitment process, please don’t hesitate to contact Aaron Movshovich, VP of Recruitment, through the chat function within the app or through email recruitment@ifcucla.com.
We are excited for you to take the first step of joining our community. After you sign up for rush, you will become a prospective new member (PNM), and will embark on your journey of finding your group of brothers. If a chapter believes you are a good fit for their fraternity, you will be extended a bid (a formal invitation to join a fraternity).
The official IFC rush period will be from January 9-11, Monday-Wednesday week 1 of winter quarter and chapters have the option to hold extended rush on Thursday-Friday; rush hours will be 5pm-9pm
January 9th Rush: Orientation
What: IFC will outline the rush process in person and highlight the many valuable aspects of
joining a fraternity at UCLA. Additionally, a few members from each chapter will be present to
meet after the presentation and offer a “sneak peek” for what rush essentially is going to be.
Where: Covel Ballroom
When: Check-In begins at 4:30pm, orientation at 5pm, meet the greeks at 5:30pm, and PNM's are allowed to rush at 6pm to any house listed on the map below.
January 10th-11th Rush: Meet the Chapters
What: You will be able to visit any chapters. You will be given the opportunity to talk to the
brothers of each chapter to help determine which chapter is best for you.
Where: Sign in at the IFC tent at Strathmore/Gayley.
When: 5:00pm-9:00pm (not necessary to be there the entire time although highly encouraged).
Winter rush will be an open rush format, you will be allowed to visit any house you want without restrictions. We encourage you to check out all the houses and the map can be found below.
Bids may be extended starting Tuesday 1/10.
What if you are extended a bid?
You have three options when you receive a bid. 1) Accept the bid and become a new member of the fraternity. 2) Hold the bid and take more time to make your decision of whether or not to join a chapter. 3) Reject the bid.
You may not accept more than one bid. Doing so may disqualify you from recruitment.
