Welcome to the Interfraternity Council's Fall 2024 Recruitment! We are excited for you to take the first step towards joining Greek life at UCLA.
Below is the Registration Form & Instructions for Payment ($43)
You will receive a confirmation email thereafter confirming your registration. The payment of $43 is MANDATORY to complete the registration process. You will not be considered registered for rush until the payment is received.
Once you've registered, congrats - you've officially become a prospective new member (PNM), and you've started the journey towards finding your group of brothers. If a chapter believes you belong in their fraternity, you will be extended a bid (a formal invitation to join a fraternity).
The official rush period for Fall 2024 will be from September 23rd-27th, during Week 0 of Fall Quarter!
If you are an incoming freshman, you will likely move in to your dorm between Tuesday and Friday of the preceding week, so be ready for Rush Orientation that coming Monday, September 23rd.
Monday Sept. 23rd: Orientation and Open Houses
What: IFC will outline the rush process in-person and highlight the many valuable aspects of joining a fraternity at UCLA, and PNMs will receive their rush wristbands. In the afternoon, PNMs will begin rushing at houses on the row.
Where: Carnesale Commons - Palisades Ballroom (entrance up the stairs outside B Plate)
When: Orientation: Last names A-M from 11:00am-12:00pm, N-Z from 12:00pm-1:00pm. Open Houses this day are from 4:00pm-8:00pm.
Blue/red houses for Monday
Blue: Sigma Chi, Theta Delta Chi, Beta Theta Pi, Sigma Nu, Lambda Chi Alpha, Zeta Beta Tau, Alpha Gamma Omega, Sigma Phi Epsilon
Red: Kappa Sigma, Phi Kappa Psi, Theta Xi, Delta Tau Delta, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Theta Chi, Alpha Epsilon Pi, Sigma Pi, Delta Sigma Phi
Sept. 24th-25th (Tuesday-Wednesday): Open Houses Continue
What: PNMs will be given the opportunity to continue meeting brothers of each chapter to help determine which chapter is best for you. We encourage you to spend time at all of the houses at the row. Chapters CANNOT extend bids on these days.
Where: Fraternity Row (for questions/concerns, come to the IFC tent at Strathmore and Gayley)
When: 5:00pm-9:00pm.
Blue/red houses for Tuesday (does not apply Wednesday)
Blue: Kappa Sigma, Phi Kappa Psi, Theta Xi, Delta Tau Delta, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Theta Chi, Alpha Epsilon Pi, Delta Sigma Phi, Sigma Pi
Red: Sigma Chi, Theta Delta Chi, Beta Theta Pi, Sigma Nu, Lambda Chi Alpha, Zeta Beta Tau, Alpha Gamma Omega, Sigma Phi Epsilon
Sept. 26th-27th Rush: Open Houses Continue; Bidding Begins
What: PNMs will be given the opportunity to continue meeting brothers of each chapter to determine which chapter is the best fit for you. We encourage you to spend more time at houses that you were interested in from the first few days, and you may begin receiving and accepting bids. You may hold a bid until 9:00pm on the last day of rush (Friday).
Where: Fraternity Row (for questions/concerns, come to the IFC tent at Strathmore and Gayley)
When: 5:00pm-9:00pm.
What happens after you are extended a bid?
You have three options when you receive a bid:
1) Accept the bid, become a new member of the fraternity, and assist your chapter with the rest of the rush process to build your new class!
2) Hold the bid and take more time to decide whether or not to join the chapter. You have until 9:00pm on Friday (the last day of rush) to decide.
3) Reject the bid.
*You may not accept more than one bid. Doing so may disqualify you from recruitment.*
